The Schooner Alcyone is a 81' topmast schooner located in Port Townsend , Wa that does youth and adult sail training, family and adult sailing charters/vacations around the protected waters of the Pacific Northwest. The Alcyone is a classic wooden sailing vessel that was built in 1956 by Frank Prothero.

Alcyone Sail Training
Thank you for your interest in sailing on the Alcyone. This is our 20th year
of getting youth, families and adults out on the water in a hands-on,
fun-while-you-learn sailing experience. This year we will be sailing from
Port Townsend, Washington, offering six and twelve day trips. The six-day
trips will be spent exploring the San Juan Islands. On our twelve-day trips,
we cross the border into Canada, with a destination of either Desolation
Sound or Barkley Sound. We are offering special rates on family and adult
full boat trips and will have a limited number of youth sail training trips
this summer. Previous sailing experience is not required, just a willingness
to lend a hand on deck and below.
